Rules

Over the last week and a half, the administrators have discussed, addressed, and argued over the rules #Arts-Shadow should use.

As a tentative list that is subject to change the rules read as following:

:bulletblack: Submissions are limited to fourteen times a week.

:bulletblue: Deviations submitted to the featured folder are subjected to a 3-person vote decided by the administrators.

:bulletred: The group has decided to continue with the weekly prompts as long as members are submitting, if less than three members submit for more than three weeks in row, the idea will be taken into to consideration for removal.

:bulletpurple: The critique folder is now open, however it is considered part of the daily limit and as such can only have two submissions per deviant per day. There is also a need for more people on the critique team, if interested send a note to ~LightOverpowers58, the team leader.

:bulletorange: There is absolutely no hentai, porn, smut related material allowed in this group. However, mature deviations will be taken into consideration if they do not involve the restrictions mentioned above.

:bulletpink: The members of #Arts-Shadow are highly appreciated and the adminstrators all wish you the best of luck.

The administrators to note if you have any questions, comments, or concerns are primarily ~TheAmericanRealist and ~LightOverpowers58 however, all of them are available, just allow time for a suitable reply and they will answer any questions shortly.

With crowded people in a compact room
She feels more than ever alone
In her isolated corner building cocoons
She wished the party had been postponed
At least then she could have found a date
Or something more stylish to wear
Or perhaps even lose some weight
And find time to tease her hair

She observes the people dancing
And can feel the love in the air
But sadly no one is advancing
To this girl in tragic despair
She sees the alcohol to her left

I looked to the left of me; the shadow followed me down

The most complex, rare, and precious emotion any human being can experience

of seafoam thronesFrom Atlas’ hands she wept to me,
atop Africas and South Atlantics;

this is one situation unaffected by
ember eyes and windy lashes
(it has no anatomy).

You are sparrows stranded
in tiny crevices and cliffside love,
though you rebuke flight
in the fear of chipping feathers.

   So what do you do?

You reach for my soul,
coveting flight with shaking
dainty arms…

and perhaps I’ll let you:
With flytrap lips and
glass shaped hips…
you are unfit for anything but

Deceived, confused and abandoned;
A state that cannot be mended.

He stood there looking into his past, he then closed his eyes,
saw his big brother walk right into his demise.

"Such a selfish act to be carried out by my selfless big brother? So unfair!!!
Written off, forgotten, why didn't anybody care?”

Hatred ran through his veins,
Anger and despair tied his heart in chains.

His heart rusted and was soon as cold as winter,
Rage took over and turned him into a sinner!
He sliced and destroyed everything in his way,

BlissDrenched in the gold of late afternoon sunlight,
we can begin again.
We are born of the light and the sound of our name.
Born to be the sun's blissful creatures,

success unknown in such  dire places where brown
buildings line every side of the streets in which corner
stores and liquor dominated shops intermarry frequently.

sounds of jarring curses and blaring music echoing in the

All the Interesting peopleSometimes I wonder where all the interesting people have gone. Where are all the people that like to do strange and interesting things for the fun of it? Where and when did the people go   who noticed little things, like a red sucker bleeding out into a puddle, how the sun looks in    your eyes and hair, things like that.
  Did they slip through the cracks of the world? Were they assimilated by the hordes of ordinary people? Did they fear becoming hipsters? I don't know if I've ever met anyone in real life who is actually truly interesting. Someone who has an interesting hobby that I've never heard of before. Lightning Gears - No Rotation of Gear 1       I know that up there, the stars must be dancing in the night
      But I cannot see, as the sky is a dark, ominous red
         You'd like to know why, am I right?

*Andrea1981G is this month's feature and this groups first feature. *Andrea1981G is fractal artwork designer who was just joined Deviantart within the last year. All her pieces have subtle beauty that can only be created by her and she deserves to be noticed. She is diligent submitter to the group and has made hundreds of beautiful pieces. Here are a few examples to get you interested:

1. What kind of art do you usually do? What medium/computer program do you use for it?
I like to create fractals, because it makes a lot of fun. I use Jwildfire at the moment .


2. How long have you been doing fractal artworks?
I began to create them on August 2010, my frist program was Mandelbulber at this time.


3. Who or what started your artistry and why?
I have searched on google for 3D fractals, I found them at this time interesting, so I have interest to try it out too.


4. How do you find inspiration when you work?
At the moment I like the colourful shiny fractals from JWildfire very much, it is very interesting to find new forms and play around with the different formulas, so I can't stop doing them sometimes

5. Do you consider your craft difficult? If so, what makes it hard?
Sometimes it is difficult to find good formula combinations, but when I have find them it is easy to make lots of diffent versions from them.

6. Which artwork of yours do you consider your best and why?
I have created most Mandelbulb 3D works and since 6 month from JWildfire. The fractals from JWildfire are more fun for me, because they have so lively colors.

7. Is there someone in Deviant Art you idolize? Who is it and what is your favorite work from this artist?
I have no favorite artist, there are so many people which are making nice fractals.

8. Other than making art, what can you consider your other hobbies?
My other hobbies/interest is: collect stamps, weather, fire department, here music
